Cage Life 4x4 ("we," "us," "our," or the "App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect
Information you give us
- Account information: name, email address, screen name, city/state, bio, profile picture
- Optional profile details: off-road experience level, interests
- Vehicle information you choose to enter in the Garage (specifications, modifications, maintenance history, part numbers)
- Trip plans, checklists, and trail information you create
- Guide List / Participant Sheet entries and Trail Honors records you create
- Forum posts, replies, chat messages, and any photos you upload to the Forum or Gallery
- Content you submit for the Rig/Event Gallery
Information collected automatically
- Basic usage data (which pages and features you use, so we can improve the App)
- Device and app version information, for troubleshooting
Payment information
If you purchase a paid membership, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store's in-app purchase system. We do not receive or store your credit card number or other payment details — Apple and our subscription management provider (RevenueCat) handle that on our behalf. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account and provide the App's features
- To display your public profile information (screen name, city/state, off-road experience level, interests) to other members, where you've chosen to make that visible (e.g. Forum)
- To manage paid membership status and access
- To communicate with you about your account or the App
- To moderate content (e.g. reviewing Gallery photo submissions before they go public) and enforce our community standards
- To improve the App based on how it's used
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- With other members, as intended by the App's features — for example, your Forum posts, screen name, and public profile fields are visible to other paid members, since that's the purpose of those features.
- With service providers who help us run the App — currently Supabase (secure data storage), Apple (App Store purchases), and RevenueCat (subscription management). These providers only access what they need to perform their function and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
- For administrative purposes — administrators of the App can view account information (such as your name, email, city/state, and membership status) solely to provide support, resolve billing issues, and enforce our community standards. This information is not shared with anyone outside the App.
- If required by law — we may disclose information if legally required to do so.
5. Your Choices
- You can review and update most of your profile information at any time from within the App.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at cagelife4x4@gmail.com
- Some information (such as posts visible to other members) may remain if you've shared it publicly through the App's features, even after account deletion, unless you remove it yourself first.
6. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the App's features. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we're required to keep it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
7. Children's Privacy
Cage Life 4x4 is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your region). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, particularly as new features are added. We'll update the effective date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
